Stu Newman has played and appeared with a variety of notable artists
such as Siouxsie and the Banshees, Nina Hagen,
Nona Hendrix, Sly Geralds (former Al Green, Bob Dylan,
Lenny Kravitz), Lenny Kaye, the Waitresses, the Hooters, and Dana
Jared (of the Wilson Pickett band). He has performed throughout
New York City at many major venues such as Irving Plaza, Knitting Factory, BB Kings,
CBGB and Webster Hall. Along with Gary Setzer, Stu was a founding member of
the legendary rockabilly band, the Roustabouts. He is currently appearing
with the great neo-swing band, the
Gas House Gorillas.
